Empty Bowls Soup Fundraiser Oct. 18

The 13th Annual Empty Bowls fundraiser is Sunday, October 18th, 2015 at the Brookside Congregational Church, 2013 Elm Street in Manchester from 11:30 am -1:30 pm. Sponsored by the NH Potters Guild, the event raises money for New Horizons for New Hampshire. Empty Bowls is an international project to fight hunger. NH Potters Guild members make and donate ceramic soup bowls. For $20 guests choose and keep a handmade bowl and are able to sample soups donated by 16 local restaurants. Child bowl $5. Quart to go $10 (last 1/2 hour of event). 

Last year's participating restaurants included: Airport Diner, Angela's Pasta & Cheese Shop, Bertucci’s, Cactus Jacks, Cotton, Fratello’s, Ignite Bar and Grill, Jerome’s Deli, Manchester School of Technology, Milly's Tavern, The Ninety-Nine, Outback Steakhouse, Piccola Italia Ristorante, Puritan Back Room, Red Arrow Diner, Southern NH University Culinary Arts, Suddenly Soupy's and Tinker’s Seafood.

 

Turkey Bowling Fundraiser November 14

Join us at the 4th Annual Turkey Bowl Fundraiser sponsored by the Greater Manchester/Nashua Board of Realtors.

Help Support New Horizons Emergency Shelter, Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen by coming out with your friends and family to bowl.

$25 per person includes shoe rental, 3 hours play time, pizza and soda. Gather a team of 4-6 people and come compete in this fun event! Bowl with Charlie Sherman, Executive Director of New Horizons.

Saturday, November 14th 3pm - 6pm at Merrimack Ten Pin 698 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack.

There will be prizes, raffles, and trophies!

Thanksgiving Breakfast November 24

Tuesday, November 24, 2015 - Time 7:15-9:00 AM

Our annual Thanksgiving Breakfast is celebrating its 22stAnniversary in 2015. This is one of our two largest fundraisers. In 2014 the event raised over $186,000. Over 650 business and civic leaders, clergy, politicians, dignitaries, friends, staff and volunteers unite for this hallmark event every year the week before Thanksgiving. A silent auction, raffle, and donation period are combined to encourage attendees to give generously. Three guest speakers address the audience speaking on their perspective on the importance of giving.
